2 Then, to the whole assembly of Israel, David said, 'If this has your approval, and if Yahweh our God wills it so, we shall send messengers to the rest of our brothers throughout the territories of Israel, and also to the priests and Levites in their towns and pasture lands, bidding them join us.
1Sam 31:1  1Chr 6:54-81  1Chr 10:7  1Chr 15:2-14  1Kgs 12:7  2Chr 31:4-21  2Kgs 9:15

3 And then we will go and recover the ark of our God, for in the days of Saul we neglected to do it.'
1Sam 7:1-2  1Sam 14:18  1Sam 14:36  1Sam 22:10  1Sam 22:15  1Sam 23:2  1Sam 23:9-12

4 The whole assembly agreed to this, because all the people thought that this was the right thing to do.
1Sam 18:20  2Chr 30:4  2Sam 3:36  Esth 8:5

5 So David summoned all Israel from the Shihor of Egypt to the Pass of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-Jearim.
1Sam 6:21-1  1Kgs 8:65  2Sam 6:1  1Chr 15:3  1Chr 13:6  1Kgs 4:21  2Kgs 25:21

6 David and all Israel then went up to Baalah, to Kiriath-Jearim in Judah, from there to bring up the ark of God, which bears the title 'Yahweh enthroned on the winged creatures'.
Josh 15:9  2Kgs 19:15  Exod 25:22  1Sam 4:4  Josh 15:60  1Kgs 8:16  2Sam 6:2-11

7 They transported the ark of God out of Abinadab's house on a new cart. Uzzah and Ahio drove the cart.
Num 4:15  1Chr 15:2  1Chr 15:13  1Sam 6:7  1Sam 7:1-2  2Sam 6:3

8 David and all Israel danced before God with all their might, singing to the accompaniment of harps, lyres, tambourines, cymbals and trumpets.
1Chr 15:10-24  1Chr 15:28  1Chr 16:5  1Chr 16:42  1Chr 23:5  1Chr 25:1-6  1Sam 10:5

9 When they came to the threshing-floor of the Javelin, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark, as the oxen were making it tilt.
2Sam 6:6

10 This roused Yahweh's anger against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had laid his hand on the Ark, and there he died before God.
1Chr 15:13  1Chr 15:15  Num 4:15  1Cor 11:30-32  1Sam 6:19  2Chr 26:16-20  Josh 6:6

11 David resented Yahweh's having broken out against Uzzah, and the place was given the name Perez-Uzzah, which it still has today.
2Sam 6:7  2Sam 6:9  Deut 34:6  Gen 32:32  Jonah 4:4  Jonah 4:9  Josh 4:9

12 That day David felt afraid of God. 'How can I bring the ark of God to be with me?' he said.
1Kgs 8:27  1Sam 5:10-11  1Sam 6:20  Isa 6:5  Job 25:5-6  Luke 5:8-9  Matt 25:24

1Chr 15:18  1Chr 26:4  1Chr 16:5  1Chr 26:8  2Sam 4:3  2Sam 6:10-11

14 The ark of God remained with Obed-Edom, in his house, for three months, and Yahweh blessed Obed-Edom's family and everything that belonged to him.
