1 I want to make quite clear to you, brothers, what the message of the gospel that I preached to you is; you accepted it and took your stand on it,
Gal 1:6-12  1Cor 15:3-11  1Pet 5:12  2Cor 1:24  2Thess 3:6  Mark 4:16-20  Rom 2:16

2 and you are saved by it, if you keep to the message I preached to you; otherwise your coming to believe was in vain.
Heb 3:6  1Cor 1:18  2Tim 1:9  Eph 2:8  Gal 3:4  Heb 2:1  Heb 3:14

3 The tradition I handed on to you in the first place, a tradition which I had myself received, was that Christ died for our sins, in accordance with the scriptures,
1Pet 2:24  Gal 1:4  Isa 53:1-12  Gal 1:12  1Cor 11:23  Acts 26:22-23  1John 2:2

4 and that he was buried; and that on the third day, he was raised to life, in accordance with the scriptures;
Hos 6:2  Matt 12:40  Acts 26:22-23  Isa 53:9-12  Ps 2:7  Ps 16:10-11  Acts 13:29-37

5 and that he appeared to Cephas; and later to the Twelve;
Mark 16:14  1Cor 1:12  Acts 10:41  John 1:42  1Cor 3:22  1Cor 9:5  Acts 1:2-14

6 and next he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still with us, though some have fallen asleep;
Matt 28:10  Acts 13:36  1Cor 15:18  1Thess 4:13  1Thess 4:15  2Pet 3:4  Acts 7:60

7 then he appeared to James, and then to all the apostles.
Luke 24:50  Acts 1:2-12  Acts 12:17  Luke 24:33  Luke 24:36

8 Last of all he appeared to me too, as though I was a child born abnormally.
1Cor 9:1  Acts 9:17  Acts 26:16  2Cor 12:1-6  Acts 9:3-6  Acts 18:9  Acts 22:14

9 For I am the least of the apostles and am not really fit to be called an apostle, because I had been persecuting the Church of God;
2Cor 12:11  Acts 8:3  1Tim 1:13-15  Acts 26:9-11  Eph 3:7-8  2Cor 11:5  Acts 9:1-19

10 but what I am now, I am through the grace of God, and the grace which was given to me has not been wasted. Indeed, I have worked harder than all the others -- not I, but the grace of God which is with me.
Phil 4:13  2Cor 3:5  Phil 2:13  Eph 3:7-8  Gal 2:8  2Cor 10:12-16  2Cor 12:11

11 Anyway, whether it was they or I, this is what we preach and what you believed.
1Cor 2:2  1Cor 15:3-4

12 Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you be saying that there is no resurrection of the dead?
2Tim 2:18  Acts 17:32  Acts 23:8  Acts 26:8  1Cor 15:13-19  2Thess 2:17

13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ cannot have been raised either,
1Thess 4:14  John 11:25-26  2Cor 4:10-14  Rom 8:11  1Pet 1:3  Rev 1:18  1Cor 15:20

14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is without substance, and so is your faith.
1Thess 4:14  1Cor 15:17  Jas 2:20  Matt 15:9  1Cor 15:2  Acts 17:31  Gal 2:2

15 What is more, we have proved to be false witnesses to God, for testifying against God that he raised Christ to life when he did not raise him -- if it is true that the dead are not raised.
Acts 2:24  Job 13:7-10  1Cor 15:13  1Cor 15:20  Acts 2:32  Acts 4:10  Acts 4:33

16 For, if the dead are not raised, neither is Christ;

17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is pointless and you have not, after all, been released from your sins.
Rom 4:25  1Pet 1:3  1Cor 15:14  1Pet 1:21  Heb 10:4-12  Acts 13:38-39  John 8:21-24

18 In addition, those who have fallen asleep in Christ are utterly lost.
1Thess 4:16  Rev 14:13  1Cor 15:6  1Thess 4:13-14

19 If our hope in Christ has been for this life only, we are of all people the most pitiable.
John 16:33  1Cor 6:3-4  1Pet 1:21  2Tim 1:12  2Tim 3:12  Acts 14:22  1Cor 4:9-13

20 In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep.
1Cor 15:23  Acts 26:23  Rev 1:5  1Pet 1:3  Col 1:18  Rom 8:11  1Cor 15:6

21 As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead.
John 11:25  Rom 5:12-17  Rom 6:23  1Cor 15:22

22 Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life;
Rom 5:12-21  1Cor 15:45-49  John 5:21-29  Gen 2:17  Gen 3:6  Gen 3:19

23 but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him.
1Cor 15:20  1Cor 15:52  Gal 3:29  Isa 26:19  1Thess 2:19  2Cor 10:7  Gal 5:24

24 After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power.
Dan 7:14  Dan 7:27  Matt 28:18  Dan 2:44  Isa 9:7  Matt 24:13  1Pet 4:7

25 For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool,
Ps 110:1  Matt 22:44  Heb 1:13  Heb 10:12-13  Ps 2:6-10  Ps 45:3-6  Acts 2:34

26 and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet.
2Tim 1:10  Rev 20:14  Rev 21:4  1Cor 15:55  Heb 2:14  Hos 13:14  Isa 25:8

27 But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him.
Matt 28:18  Ps 8:6  Heb 2:8  Matt 11:27  1Pet 3:22  Eph 1:22  Heb 1:13

28 When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.
1Cor 3:23  Phil 3:21  1Cor 11:3  1Cor 12:6  Col 3:11  Eph 1:23  Dan 2:34-35

29 Otherwise, what are people up to who have themselves baptised on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, what is the point of being baptised on their behalf?
1Cor 15:16  1Cor 15:32  Matt 20:22  Rom 6:3-4

30 And what about us? Why should we endanger ourselves every hour of our lives?
1Cor 15:31  2Cor 4:7-12  2Cor 6:9  2Cor 11:23-27  Gal 5:11  Rom 8:36-39

31 I swear by the pride that I take in you, in Christ Jesus our Lord, that I face death every day.
2Cor 4:10-11  Rom 8:36  1Cor 4:9-13  1Thess 2:19  2Cor 2:14  Phil 3:3  1Sam 8:9

32 If I fought wild animals at Ephesus in a purely human perspective, what had I to gain by it?
Isa 22:13  Luke 12:19  Isa 56:12  2Cor 1:8-10  2Pet 2:12  Acts 18:19  Acts 19:1

33 If the dead are not going to be raised, then Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall be dead.
Prov 13:20  Matt 24:4  1Cor 5:6  Eph 5:6  1Cor 6:9  2Tim 2:16-18  Prov 9:6

34 So do not let anyone lead you astray, 'Bad company corrupts good ways.' Wake up from your stupor as you should and leave sin alone; some of you have no understanding of God; I tell you this to instil some shame in you.
1Cor 6:5  Rom 13:11  1Thess 4:5  Heb 5:11-12  John 5:14  1Cor 8:7  Eph 5:14

35 Someone may ask: How are dead people raised, and what sort of body do they have when they come?
Ezek 37:3  1Cor 15:38-53  Eccl 11:5  Ezek 37:11  Job 11:12  Job 22:13  John 3:4

36 How foolish! What you sow must die before it is given new life;
John 12:24  Eph 5:15  Luke 11:40  Luke 12:20  Luke 24:25  Rom 1:22

37 and what you sow is not the body that is to be, but only a bare grain, of wheat I dare say, or some other kind;

38 it is God who gives it the sort of body that he has chosen for it, and for each kind of seed its own kind of body.
1Cor 3:7  Gen 1:11-12  Isa 61:11  Mark 4:26-29  Ps 104:14

39 Not all flesh is the same flesh: there is human flesh; animals have another kind of flesh, birds another and fish yet another.
Gen 1:20-26

40 Then there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; the heavenly have a splendour of their own, and the earthly a different splendour.

41 The sun has its own splendour, the moon another splendour, and the stars yet another splendour; and the stars differ among themselves in splendour.
Deut 4:19  Gen 1:14  Isa 24:23  Job 31:26  Ps 8:3  Ps 19:4-6  Ps 148:3-5

42 It is the same too with the resurrection of the dead: what is sown is perishable, but what is raised is imperishable;
Dan 12:3  Matt 13:43  Rom 8:21  1Cor 15:50-54  1Pet 1:4  Acts 2:27  Acts 2:31

43 what is sown is contemptible but what is raised is glorious; what is sown is weak, but what is raised is powerful;
Col 3:4  Mark 12:24-25  Matt 22:29-30  Phil 3:10  1Cor 6:14  2Cor 13:4  2Cor 13:14

44 what is sown is a natural body, and what is raised is a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is a spiritual body too.
1Cor 15:50  Luke 24:31  John 20:19  John 20:26

45 So the first man, Adam, as scripture says, became a living soul; and the last Adam has become a life-giving spirit.
John 5:21  Rom 8:2  1John 1:1-3  John 6:33  John 6:57  John 6:68  John 6:54

46 But first came the natural body, not the spiritual one; that came only afterwards.
Col 3:9-10  Eph 4:22-24  Rom 6:6

47 The first man, being made of earth, is earthly by nature; the second man is from heaven.
John 3:31  Gen 2:7  Gen 3:19  1Cor 15:45  1Tim 3:16  2Cor 5:1  Acts 10:36

48 The earthly man is the pattern for earthly people, the heavenly man for heavenly ones.
Gen 5:3  1Cor 15:21-22  Job 14:4  John 3:6  Phil 3:20-21  Rom 5:12-21

49 And as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so we shall bear the likeness of the heavenly one.
Gen 5:3  Rom 8:29  2Cor 3:18  2Cor 4:10-11  Matt 13:43  1John 3:2

50 What I am saying, brothers, is that mere human nature cannot inherit the kingdom of God: what is perishable cannot inherit what is imperishable.
Matt 16:17  Eph 4:17  Gal 5:16  1Cor 1:12  1Cor 6:13  1Cor 7:29  2Cor 5:1

51 Now I am going to tell you a mystery: we are not all going to fall asleep,
Phil 3:21  1Thess 4:14-17  1Cor 15:20  1Cor 2:7  1Cor 15:6  Eph 1:9  1Cor 4:1

52 but we are all going to be changed, instantly, in the twinkling of an eye, when the last trumpet sounds. The trumpet is going to sound, and then the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed,
Matt 24:31  1Thess 4:16-17  John 5:25  John 5:28  2Pet 3:10  Rev 9:13-14  Exod 19:16

53 because this perishable nature of ours must put on imperishability, this mortal nature must put on immortality.
2Cor 5:2-4  1John 3:2  Eph 4:24  Gal 3:27  Rom 2:7  Rom 13:12-14

54 And after this perishable nature has put on imperishability and this mortal nature has put on immortality, then will the words of scripture come true: Death is swallowed up in victory.
Isa 25:8  Heb 2:14-15  Rev 20:14  Rev 21:4  2Cor 4:11  2Thess 1:10  Luke 20:36

55 Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?
Hos 13:14  Ps 89:48  Rom 5:14  Acts 2:27  Acts 9:5  Eccl 2:15-16  Luke 16:23

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin comes from the Law.
Rom 4:15  Gal 3:10-13  Rom 7:5-13  John 8:24  Rom 5:12-13  Rom 5:20  Rom 6:23

57 Thank God, then, for giving us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2Cor 2:14  1John 5:4-5  Rom 8:37  Prov 21:31  Ps 98:1  Rev 15:2-3  Rom 7:25

58 So, my dear brothers, keep firm and immovable, always abounding in energy for the Lord's work, being sure that in the Lord none of your labours is wasted.
Gal 6:9  2Chr 15:7  Heb 6:10  Phil 2:16  1Cor 3:8  2Pet 3:17-18  Col 1:23
