Prophecy  Revelation

1 For we are well aware that when the tent that houses us on earth is folded up, there is a house for us from God, not made by human hands but everlasting, in the heavens.
1John 3:2  2Pet 1:13-14  Job 19:25-26  2Cor 4:7  Heb 9:24  Heb 9:11  1Cor 15:46-48

2 And in this earthly state we do indeed groan,
Rom 8:23  1Cor 15:53-54  Rom 7:24  1Pet 1:6-7  2Cor 5:3-4  Phil 1:23

3 longing to put on our heavenly home over the present one; if indeed we are to be found clothed rather than stripped bare.
Gen 3:7-11  Rev 3:18  Exod 32:25  Rev 16:15

4 Yes, indeed, in this present tent, we groan under the burden, not that we want to be stripped of our covering, but because we want to be covered with a second garment on top, so that what is mortal in us may be swallowed up by life.
1Cor 15:53-54  Isa 25:8  2Cor 5:2  2Pet 1:13

5 It is God who designed us for this very purpose, and he has given us the Spirit as a pledge.
2Cor 1:22  Rom 8:23  1John 3:24  Eph 1:13-14  Eph 4:30  Isa 29:23  Isa 61:3

6 We are always full of confidence, then, realising that as long as we are at home in the body we are exiled from the Lord,
Heb 11:13  2Cor 5:1  Phil 3:20-21  1Chr 29:15  1Pet 5:1  2Cor 5:8  Heb 10:35

7 guided by faith and not yet by sight;
Heb 11:1-27  2Cor 4:18  Rom 8:24-25  1Pet 1:8  1Cor 13:12  Heb 10:38  1Pet 5:9

8 we are full of confidence, then, and long instead to be exiled from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
Phil 1:20-24  1John 3:2  2Cor 5:6  2Cor 5:9  2Cor 12:2-3  2Pet 1:14-15  2Pet 3:11-12

9 And so whether at home or exiled, we make it our ambition to please him.
2Pet 3:14  Col 1:10  Rom 14:18  1Thess 4:1  1Tim 4:10  2Pet 1:10-11  Heb 4:11

10 For at the judgement seat of Christ we are all to be seen for what we are, so that each of us may receive what he has deserved in the body, matched to whatever he has done, good or bad.
Eph 6:8  Rev 22:12  Matt 16:27  Ps 62:12  1Cor 4:5  Rom 2:5-10  1Pet 4:5

11 And so it is with the fear of the Lord always in mind that we try to win people over. But God sees us for what we are, and I hope your consciences do too.
Jude 1:23  Heb 10:31  2Tim 2:24-26  Job 31:23  2Cor 2:17  2Cor 4:1-2  2Cor 5:20

12 Again we are saying this not to commend ourselves to you, but simply to give you the opportunity to take pride in us, so that you may have an answer for those who take pride in appearances and not inner reality.
2Cor 3:1  2Cor 1:14  2Cor 11:12-16  2Cor 6:4  2Cor 10:8  2Cor 10:12  2Cor 10:18

13 If we have been unreasonable, it was for God; if reasonable, for you.
2Cor 11:1  2Cor 11:16-17  2Cor 12:6  2Cor 12:11  Acts 26:24-25  1Cor 4:10-13  1Thess 1:5

14 For the love of Christ overwhelms us when we consider that if one man died for all, then all have died;
Gal 2:20  Matt 10:37-38  Rom 14:7-9  Luke 7:42-47  1Pet 1:8  John 11:50-52  John 1:29

15 his purpose in dying for all humanity was that those who live should live not any more for themselves, but for him who died and was raised to life.
Rom 14:7-9  1Pet 1:14-15  Col 3:1  1Pet 4:2-4  Col 3:17  1John 4:9  Titus 2:14

16 From now onwards, then, we will not consider anyone by human standards: even if we were once familiar with Christ according to human standards, we do not know him in that way any longer.
Phil 3:7-8  Col 3:11  Gal 5:6  1Tim 5:21-22  Gal 2:5-6  1Sam 2:29  2Cor 11:18

17 So for anyone who is in Christ, there is a new creation: the old order is gone and a new being is there to see.
Ezek 36:26  Isa 43:18-19  Eph 4:22-24  John 3:3  Ps 51:10  Ezek 11:19  Col 3:1-10

18 It is all God's work; he reconciled us to himself through Christ and he gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
2Cor 5:19-20  Col 1:20-21  Rom 5:10-11  1John 2:2  Eph 2:16-17  Rom 5:1  1Cor 8:6

19 I mean, God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not holding anyone's faults against them, but entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
1John 4:10  1John 2:1-2  1Tim 3:16  Col 2:9  Isa 44:22  Matt 1:23  Rom 3:24-26

20 So we are ambassadors for Christ; it is as though God were urging you through us, and in the name of Christ we appeal to you to be reconciled to God.
Eph 6:20  Luke 14:23  2Cor 5:11  2Cor 6:1  1Thess 4:8  2Cor 3:6  Ezek 18:31-32

21 For our sake he made the sinless one a victim for sin, so that in him we might become the uprightness of God.
1Pet 3:18  1Pet 2:22-24  Gal 3:13  1John 3:5  Rom 5:19  1Cor 1:30  Isa 53:4-6
