1 In the third year of King Belshazzar a vision appeared to me, Daniel, after the one that had originally appeared to me.
Dan 7:1  Dan 7:15  Dan 7:28  Dan 8:15  Dan 9:2  Dan 10:2  Dan 10:7

2 I gazed at the vision, and as I gazed I found myself in Susa, the citadel in the province of Elam; gazing at the vision, I found myself at the Ulai Gate.
Esth 1:2  Neh 1:1  Esth 2:8  Ezek 32:24  Gen 10:22  Gen 14:1  Jer 25:25

3 I raised my eyes to look, and I saw a ram standing in front of the gate. It had two horns; both were tall, but one taller than the other, and the one that rose the higher was the second.
Dan 8:20  Dan 10:5  1Chr 21:16  Dan 2:39  Dan 5:31  Dan 6:28  Dan 7:5

4 I saw the ram butting westwards, northwards and southwards. No animal could stand up to it, nothing could escape its power. It did as it pleased and became strong.
Dan 11:16  Dan 8:7  Dan 11:36  Dan 5:19  Dan 5:30  Dan 7:5  Dan 11:2-3

5 This is what I observed: a he-goat from the west, encroaching over the entire surface of the world though never touching the ground, and between its eyes the goat had one majestic horn.
Dan 8:21  Dan 8:8  Dan 11:3  Dan 2:32  Dan 2:39  Dan 7:6

6 It advanced on the two-horned ram, which I had seen standing in front of the gate, and charged at it in the full force of its fury.

7 I saw it reach the ram; it was enraged with the ram and struck it, breaking both its horns, so that the ram was not strong enough to hold its ground; it threw it to the ground and trampled it underfoot; no one was there to rescue the ram.
Dan 7:7  Dan 11:11  Josh 8:20  Lev 26:37

8 The he-goat then grew more powerful than ever; but at the height of its strength the great horn snapped, and in its place sprouted four majestic horns, pointing to the four winds of heaven.
Dan 7:2  Rev 7:1  2Chr 26:16  Dan 5:20  Dan 8:22  Dan 11:4  Mark 13:27

9 From one of these, the small one, sprang a horn which grew to great size towards south and east and towards the Land of Splendour.
Dan 11:16  Ps 48:2  Dan 7:8  Ezek 20:6  Ezek 20:15  Dan 7:20-26  Dan 8:23-24

10 It grew right up to the armies of heaven and flung armies and stars to the ground, and trampled them underfoot.
Isa 14:13  Rev 12:4  Dan 7:7  Dan 8:7  Dan 11:28  Dan 8:24-25  Dan 11:30

11 It even challenged the power of the Prince of the army; it abolished the perpetual sacrifice and overthrew the foundation of his sanctuary,
Dan 11:31  Dan 12:11  Dan 8:25  Ezek 46:14  2Kgs 19:22-23  Isa 37:23  2Chr 32:15-22

12 and the army too; over the sacrifice it installed iniquity and flung truth to the ground; the horn was active and successful.
Dan 11:28  Isa 59:14  1Sam 23:9  2Thess 2:10-12  Dan 8:4  Dan 11:31-36  Jer 12:1

13 I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one say to the speaker, 'How long is this vision to be -- of perpetual sacrifice, of horrifying iniquity, of sanctuary and army trampled underfoot?'
Rev 11:2  Dan 9:27  Dan 4:13  Luke 21:24  Rev 6:10  1Pet 1:12  Dan 11:31

14 The first replied, 'Until two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings have gone by: then the sanctuary will have its rights restored.'
Dan 7:25  Dan 12:7  Rev 11:2-3  Dan 8:26  Dan 12:11  Isa 1:27  Isa 45:25

15 As I, Daniel, gazed at the vision and tried to understand it, I saw someone standing in front of me who looked like a man.
Dan 10:16  1Pet 1:10-11  Dan 10:18  Rev 1:13  Dan 7:13  Dan 7:16-19  Dan 7:28-1

16 I heard a human voice cry over the Ulai, 'Gabriel, tell him the meaning of the vision!'
Luke 1:19  Luke 1:26  Dan 8:2  Dan 12:5-7  Acts 9:7  Acts 10:13  Dan 9:21-22

17 He approached the place where I was standing; as he approached, I was seized with terror and fell prostrate on the ground. 'Son of man,' he said to me, 'understand this: the vision shows the time of the End.'
Dan 8:19  Dan 12:4  Hab 2:3  Rev 1:17  Dan 9:27  Dan 11:35-36  Dan 11:40

18 He was still speaking, when I fainted, face downwards on the ground. He touched me, however, and raised me to my feet.
Dan 10:18  Dan 10:16  Ezek 2:2  Luke 9:32  Acts 26:6  Dan 8:17  Dan 8:27

19 'Come,' he said, 'I shall tell you what is going to happen when the Retribution is over, about the final times.
Hab 2:3  Dan 8:15-17  Dan 8:23  Dan 9:26-27  Dan 11:27  Dan 11:35-36  Dan 12:7-8

20 As for the ram which you saw, its two horns are the kings of Media and of Persia.
Dan 8:3  Dan 11:1-2

21 The hairy he-goat is the king of Greece, the large horn between its eyes is the first king.
Dan 10:20  Dan 11:3  Dan 8:5-8

22 The horn which snapped and the four horns which sprouted in its place are four kingdoms rising from his nation but not having his strength.
Dan 8:3  Dan 8:8  Dan 11:4

23 'And at the end of their reign, when the measure of their sins is full, a king will arise, a proud-faced, ingenious-minded man.
Rev 13:11-14  1Tim 4:1  2Thess 2:9-11  Dan 7:25  Dan 8:9-12  Dan 7:8  Dan 7:11

24 His power will grow greater and greater, though not through any power of his own; he will plot incredible schemes, he will succeed in whatever he undertakes, he will destroy powerful men and the holy ones, God's people.
Dan 8:12  Dan 7:25  Rev 13:3-10  Rev 17:17  Dan 8:10  Dan 11:31-36  Dan 12:7

25 Such will be his resourcefulness of mind that all his treacherous activities will succeed. He will grow arrogant of heart and destroy many people by taking them unawares. He will challenge the power of the Prince of princes but, without any human intervention, he will be broken.
Dan 8:11  Job 34:20  Rev 19:19-21  Dan 2:34-35  Dan 2:44-45  Dan 7:8  Dan 7:26

26 The vision of the evenings and the mornings which has been revealed is true, but you must keep the vision secret, for there are still many days to go.'
Dan 10:1  Dan 10:14  Dan 12:4  Dan 12:9  Rev 22:10  Ezek 12:27  Rev 10:4

27 At this I, Daniel, lost consciousness; I was ill for several days. Then I got up to discharge my duties in the king's service, keeping the vision a secret and still not understanding what it meant.
