1 Proclamation about Damascus: Damascus will soon cease to be a city, it will become a heap of ruins.
Zech 9:1  Amos 1:3-5  Isa 25:2  Acts 9:2  Gen 14:15  Isa 7:8  Jer 49:2

2 Its towns, abandoned for ever, will be pastures for flocks; there they will rest with no one to disturb them.
Ezek 25:5  Deut 2:36  Jer 7:33  Mic 4:4  Num 32:34  Zeph 2:6  Jer 48:19

3 Ephraim will be stripped of its defences and Damascus of its sovereignty; and the remnant of Aram will be treated like the glory of the Israelites -- declares Yahweh Sabaoth.
Isa 7:16  Isa 8:4  Hos 9:11  Isa 7:8  2Kgs 16:9  2Kgs 17:6  Amos 2:6-9

4 When that day comes, Jacob's glory will diminish, from being fat he will grow lean;
Isa 10:16  Deut 32:15-27  Ezek 34:20  Isa 9:8  Isa 9:21  Isa 10:4  Isa 24:13

5 as when a reaper gathers in the standing corn, harvesting the ears of corn with his arm, or when they glean the ears in the Valley of Rephaim,
2Sam 5:18  Jer 51:33  Joel 3:13  Matt 13:30  2Sam 5:22  Hos 6:11  Isa 17:11

6 nothing will remain but pickings, as when an olive tree is beaten; two or three berries left on the topmost bough, four or five berries on the branches of the tree -- declares Yahweh, God of Israel.
Isa 24:13  Deut 4:27  Obad 1:5  1Kgs 19:18  Ezek 36:8-15  Ezek 37:19-25  Ezek 39:29

7 That day, a man will look to his Creator and his eyes will turn to the Holy One of Israel.
Hos 6:1  Mic 7:7  Hos 3:5  2Chr 30:10-11  2Chr 30:18-20  2Chr 31:1  2Chr 35:17-18

8 He will no longer look to altars, his own handiwork, or to what his own fingers have made: the sacred poles and incense-altars.
Isa 30:22  Isa 27:9  Isa 2:8  Mic 5:13-14  2Chr 14:5  2Chr 34:4  2Chr 34:6-7

9 That day, its cities of refuge will be abandoned as were the woods and heaths at the Israelites' advance: there will be desolation.
Isa 27:10  Amos 3:11-15  Amos 7:9  Hos 10:14  Hos 13:15-16  Isa 6:11-13  Isa 7:16-20

10 Since you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and failed to keep the Rock, your refuge, in mind, you plant pleasure-gardens, you sow exotic seeds;
Isa 26:4  Isa 12:2  Deut 32:4  Isa 51:13  Ps 106:21  Deut 6:12  Deut 8:11

11 the day you plant them, you get them to sprout, and, next morning, your seedlings are in flower; but the harvest will vanish on the day of disease and incurable pain.
Hos 8:7  Job 4:8  Gal 6:7-8  Hos 9:1-4  Hos 9:16  Hos 10:12-15  Isa 18:5-6

12 Disaster! The thunder of vast hordes, a thunder like the thunder of the seas, the roar of nations roaring like the roar of mighty floods,
Jer 6:23  Luke 21:25  Ps 18:4  Ezek 43:2  Isa 5:26-30  Isa 8:7-8  Isa 9:5

13 of nations roaring like the roar of ocean! He rebukes them and far away they flee, driven like chaff on the mountains before the wind, like an eddy of dust before the storm.
Ps 9:5  Isa 41:15-16  Job 21:18  Ps 1:4  Isa 29:5  Dan 2:35  Hos 13:3

14 At evening all is terror, by morning all have disappeared. Such will be the lot of those who plunder us, such, the fate of our despoilers.
2Kgs 19:35  2Kgs 19:3  Ezek 39:10  Hab 2:16-17  Isa 10:28-32  Isa 33:1  Jer 2:3
