3 by daring to say to him, 'What does it matter to you, or how does it benefit me, whether I have sinned or not?'
Job 34:9  Job 9:21-22  Job 9:30-31  Job 10:15  Job 21:15  Job 31:2  Mal 3:14

4 Very well, I shall tell you and your friends as well.

5 Take a look at the skies and see, observe how high the clouds are above you.
Job 22:12  Isa 55:9  Nah 1:3  1Kgs 8:27  Gen 15:5  Isa 40:22-23  Job 25:5-6

6 If you sin, how can you affect him? If you heap up crimes, what effect has it on him?
Jer 7:19  Prov 8:36  Prov 9:12

7 If you are upright, what do you give him, what benefit does he receive at your hands?
Job 22:2-3  Rom 11:35  Prov 9:12  Luke 17:10  Ps 16:2  1Chr 29:14

8 Your wickedness affects only your fellows, your uprightness, other human beings.
Acts 27:24  Eccl 9:18  Ezek 22:30  Gen 12:2  Gen 18:24-33  Gen 19:29  Heb 11:7

9 They too groan under the weight of oppression, they cry for help under the tyranny of the mighty,
Exod 2:23  Job 34:28  Exod 3:7  Exod 3:9  Job 12:19  Job 24:12  Job 40:9

10 but none of them thinks of saying, 'Where is God, my Maker, who makes glad songs ring out at night,
Acts 16:25  Ps 42:8  Ps 149:5  Isa 51:13  Ps 77:6  1Pet 4:19  Eccl 12:1

11 who has made us more intelligent than wild animals wiser than birds in the sky?'
Ps 94:12  Job 36:22  Gen 1:26  Gen 2:7  Job 32:8

12 Cry they may, but get no answer, to be spared from the arrogance of the wicked.
Prov 1:28  John 9:31  Ps 123:3-4  Isa 14:14-17  Ps 18:41  Ps 73:6-8

13 Of course God does not listen to trivialities, Shaddai pays no attention to them.
Prov 15:29  Isa 1:15  Jer 11:11  Jas 4:3  Amos 5:22  Eccl 5:1-3  Hos 7:14

14 And how much less when you say, 'I cannot see him, my case is open and I am waiting for him.'
Job 9:11  Isa 30:18  Isa 50:10  Isa 54:17  Job 9:19  Job 19:7  Job 23:3

15 Or, 'His anger never punishes, he does not seem aware of human rebellion.'
Ps 89:32  Heb 12:11-12  Hos 11:8-9  Job 4:5  Job 9:14  Job 13:15  Job 30:15-31

16 Hence, when Job speaks, he talks nonsense, ignorantly babbling on and on.
Job 38:2  Job 3:1  Job 33:2  Job 33:8-12  Job 34:35-37
